Son of John Hugo and Margaret Byrdall, father of Thomas Hugo and husband of Honour Cleave
John was borne in Bridford, Devon on 20th February 1728/29 and baptised at St Thomas a Becket Church on 18th March 1728/29
He Married Honour Cleave on 25th January 1759 at Holy Cross Curch, Crediton, Devon.
Honour was the daughter of James Cleave and Charity Cook, and was baptised in Sandford on 23rd June 1729
John and Honour had the following children
John Hugo baptised in Crediton on 3rd January 1761
Thomas Hugo baptised in Crediton on 2nd February 1763 Both baptismal entries state that they were the sons of Mr John Hewgoe and Mrs Honour
John was buried in Crediton on 28th August 1781 and administration was granted in Crediton dated 14th February 1782 to his wife, Honour
