Sir Roger de la Zouche

Son of  Alan II de La Zouche and Elena de Quincy, father of Alan de La Zouche and husband of Eli (Eleanor) de  Longspee

Roger de La Zouch, Knight of Ashby, was born about 1242 in Ashby. He was the son of Alan 11 de la Zouche and Elena de Quincy

Roger married Eli (Eleanor) Lonspee c. 1267. Eleanor was the daughter of  Stephen Longspee and Emmeline de Riddlesford.  Eleanor was born c.1246 and died c.1276

He received seisin of his father's lands after doing homage on October 13, 1289. Alan was governor of Rockingham Castle and steward of Rockingham Forest, England

Roger and Eleanor had one son
