William was baptised in Berwick-upon-Tweed on 4^th May 1628

His wife’s Christian name was Margaret, confirmed by their son’s will.

William and Margaret had at least one child:

William was admitted to the Freedom of the Borough on 19^th January 1648/49 as the "eldest sonnne of his late ffather, deceased"

William Temple, Burges, was buried in Berwick on 6^th January 1653/54
