Dorothy Hawkings

Daughter of Albert Hawkings and Emma Elizabeth Benson, mother of Stephen John Ellis, Roger Benson Ellis and Alan Arthur Ellis and wife of Arthur George Ellis

Dorothy was born on 28^th March 1909 at 155 Bradford Street, Aston, Birmingham. Her father was then a bricklayer journeyman.

She met Arthur at Bournville, where he also worked, in April 1930. Soon afterwards Arthur was sent by his company to Canada and on his return they became engaged at Offenham in February 1936.

Dorothy died on 5^th September 1990 at Kidderminster General Hospital “the wife of Arthur George Ellis, retired Chartered Engineer of Dunedin, Astley ………, Stourport on Severn” Arthur was the informant.
